Before bed, I asked if "the deliquents" (the kitties) were home inside. Only one. Oreo likes all nighters. If he manages to escapes, we don't see him till breakfast.
A late night trip to the bathroom, there was scratching at the door.
Feel so bad for this child to get to deal with the late night snack that noone wants except for Oreo. Since there was rain, Oreo really wanted to bring his snack inside. YECH! It took some firm handling of the scruff, and snack time was dropped and the rain was escaped.
Not only was it late, but this thoughtful child even managed to write a note to warn family in the morning to not step outside on the step without looking first.
Good Morning Sunday as I walked into the dining room.
The funny part is all I did was grimace and shudder and I kept going.
It just didn't surprise me.
Just grossed me out.
This is how life rolls here.
On a side note, these gifts and snacks are what has resulted in the nickname "deliquents." We have 2 tuxedo kitties. We ust couldn't choose between the two and didn't know how to tell which one would "earn their dinner". It was October, and they offered a deal 2 for the price of 1. The reason: Noone wants a black kitty in October. We needed a mouser. Well it turns out, they work best in a team. One catches, one kills. The one that catches, prefers to play "catch and release" over and over with its victim. He is capable of killing his prey, he just likes to play and play a LOT. The other one, just isn't motivated to go out and catch his dinner, he can, but he is more than willing to let the other one do the work.... He is also the one that has figured out how to open the kitty food containers! AND has been trained to do tricks before getting fed.
